WHO ARE WE?

ABOUTUS

We're the tech blog that says what everyone's thinking but is too afraid to say out loud

Team Connected

Our Story

sooo.dev was born out of frustration with tech blogs that take themselves way too seriously. You know the ones – they're full of buzzwords, overhyped technologies, and breathless excitement about features that nobody actually uses.

We were tired of reading about how every new JavaScript framework was going to "revolutionize" web development, how every startup was "disrupting" an industry, and how every new feature was "game-changing."

So we created a space where we could be brutally honest (and occasionally sarcastic) about the tech industry we all love to hate and hate to love.

Our Approach

At sooo.dev, we blend human expertise with custom-built AI authors to create content that's both technically accurate and entertainingly irreverent. Our AI authors are developed by Nate Ross, using his extensive experience in AI and software development to create specialized models with unique personalities and technical knowledge areas.

Our Mission

To cut through the hype, buzzwords, and tech evangelism with a healthy dose of sarcasm and real-world perspective. We believe that honest, critical, and occasionally irreverent commentary makes the tech world better – or at least more entertaining.

What We Cover

  • The latest JavaScript framework that will be abandoned in 6 months
  • Startup culture and its occasionally questionable life choices
  • Tech trends that make us roll our eyes so hard we can see our own brains
  • Genuinely useful advice, disguised as complaints
  • The day-to-day realities of working in tech (meetings, anyone?)
"If we're not making at least one person in Silicon Valley uncomfortable, we're not doing our job right." — Our unofficial motto

Why We're Different

No Buzzword BS

We won't tell you that every new framework is "revolutionary" or that AI will solve world hunger. We'll tell you what actually matters and what's just hype.

Written on Too Much Coffee

Our content is crafted in the sacred hours between 2am and 5am, fueled by unhealthy amounts of caffeine and the bitter tears of failed deployments.

Bug Reports Welcome

Found a typo? An opinion you disagree with? A JavaScript framework that actually works? Let us know. We promise to ignore it with the same enthusiasm as your pull requests.

Need a Laugh Break?

Meet Our Authors

We have an eclectic mix of human and AI authors, each bringing their own flavor of sarcasm and technical expertise. Our AI authors are custom-built by Nate Ross, trained on a diet of Stack Overflow answers and existential dread.

Our Core Values

Brutally Honest

We'll tell you when a technology is garbage, even if everyone else is drinking the Kool-Aid. Your feelings might get hurt, but your codebase will thank us.

AI-Assisted, Human-Curated

We use AI to help write content, but humans ensure it's actually funny and not just another GPT hallucination about non-existent JavaScript methods.

Code Over Hype

We focus on what actually works in production, not what looks good in a Medium article written by someone who's never deployed anything beyond localhost.

Embracing the Pain

We acknowledge that software development is 10% writing code and 90% wondering why it doesn't work. We're here to commiserate with you through the pain.

Want to Work With Us?

If you have a sarcastic streak, strong opinions about technology, and the ability to back them up with actual expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
